Nov 01, 2009November 1 - December 31, 2009

Langman Gallery presents the 27th annual holiday exhibition and sale of unique menorah designs and handmade jewelry by more than 75 American designers and craftspeople from across the country.
A selection of four featured artists are: Seattle jeweler Jennifer Bauser's preoccupation with mid-twentieth century modern design concepts translates to an emphasis on pure, clean jewelry design which celebrates the beauty in simplicity of form. The inspiration for Julie Shaw's beautiful and powerful designs comes from her spiritual connection to nature and travels to ancient and sacred places around the world. Sharon Shaffner's figurative pins combine mixed metals and cut stones to reveal her fascination with different cultures, originally inspired by Northwest Coast Indian primitive sculptures. Gary Rosenthal creates modern, welded menorah designs comprised of woven copper to enhance any home and the celebration of Hanukkah.
Since 1972, Langman Gallery has presented unique handmade crafts and fine art by American artists and designers. Recently named one of NICHE magazine's Top Retailers of 2009, the gallery features fine contemporary crafts including ceramics, furniture, glass, jewelry, lighting, paintings, prints and sculpture. The annual Top Retailer Awards program recognizes craft retailers who are committed to fair business practices and to growing and strengthening the North American craft community.
